The department focuses on the study of medicinal plants, crude drugs, phytoconstituents, herbal formulations, and phytopharmaceuticals, emphasizing their role in modern healthcare systems.
The department provides a strong foundation in the identification, authentication, cultivation, processing, evaluation, and standardization of natural products and herbal medicines. Through well-equipped laboratories, experiential learning, research activities, and industry-oriented training, students acquire the knowledge and skills required for professional practice, higher education, research, and entrepreneurship in the pharmaceutical and herbal sectors.
