Born in Katewadi, Baramati taluka, Shri Pawar's rise from humble beginnings to becoming Maharashtra's Chief Minister and holding key positions in the Central Government is an inspiration to many. He began his political career as an MLA at the age of 27 in 1967, became a Minister in 1974, and served as Maharashtra's Chief Minister in 1978, 1988, 1990, and 1993. At the national level, he served as the Defense Minister and held the Agriculture portfolio from 2004 to 2014

Shri Pawar is known for his effective administration, direct connection with the common man, and his ability to nurture leadership talent. Leaders like ChhaganBhujbal, DilipWalse-Patil, Late R.R.
